I asked my friend Florence (yes, the Florence who accompanied me to Singapore) to contribute a few nuggets of thought. DISCLAIMER: THIS WAS NOT WRITTEN BY ME, BUT BY FLORENCE.
Okay, my experience hmmm. To sum it up it was quite fun. I wasn't prepared for the interview. Didn't even have any time to do any research about the universities and their deans or staff. I just went along with what was thrown at me and in the end even though my performance wasn't really outstanding, at least I showed my sincerity. People always thought knowing the deans and the board of directors are important (I'm not saying they're wrong) but an interviewer told me, "The interview is for us to filter the candidates, to find out their passion and sincerity instead of asking about the deans." The only thing I could say is do your best in everything they throw at you, even though it's nasty. But hey, who knows, maybe you turn out to be a nasty one to them AND THEY PROBABLY LIKE IT!
